Funny Moments

Ah, the Vienna airport – the land of schnitzels, symphonies, and... spontaneous waltzing around angel statue! Picture this: I was breezing through the duty-free shop, eyes peeled for a good souvenir, when I stumbled upon this magnificent angel statue. It was like something straight out of a classical painting, wings spread wide, looking divine and all that. Naturally, I thought, "This would make a killer Instagram post!"

So, I asked one of the shop assistants if they could snap a quick photo. Easy peasy, right? Wrong. We spent a good five minutes trying to find the perfect angle. "Move a little to the left," they said. "No, wait, the other left!" Before we knew it, a crowd of curious onlookers had gathered, watching this impromptu photoshoot unfold.

It started to feel less like a photo op and more like a choreographed dance routine. The statue and I were shifting positions like we were in the finals of 'Vienna's Got Talent'. One of the shop assistants even got into it, giving us instructions like a director on a movie set. "Okay, now tilt your head slightly. Perfect! Now, angel, spread your wings just a tad more(wink, wink, blink, flutter)."

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity (but was probably just a few hilarious minutes), we managed to snap a photo. It wasn't exactly the poised, elegant shot I had envisioned. Instead, it looked like the angel and I were mid-polka. We were practically in sync like we'd been practicing this routine for weeks.

The crowd gave a little cheer, and I turned to the shop assistants, out of breath but laughing. "Thank you for the lovely dance!" I said. They grinned back, "Anytime! Next time, we'll try the waltz."

And that, my friends, is how I ended up with the most unexpected souvenir from Vienna airport: a memory of dancing with an angel, with a whole audience to boot!
